E-Learning Registration: For up to 3 participants per SIDS country
The application deadline is September 30, 2026.
Each eligible SIDS country may register up to 3 participants for the Heritage Management Professional E-Learning Programme with free 3 month access.
This track is designed for heritage professionals, government officials, World Heritage focal points, site managers, researchers, university experts, and professionals working across culture, nature, conservation, tourism, planning, climate resilience, or community heritage.
Participants will strengthen their knowledge of World Heritage principles, Tentative List processes, Outstanding Universal Value, authenticity and integrity, comparative analysis, management systems, climate resilience, and stakeholder engagement.
Heritage is a vital expression of humanity’s collective memory, identity and diversity. For Small Island Developing States (SIDS), safeguarding cultural and natural heritage is particularly important in the face of climate change, environmental pressures and rapid social transformation.
The Heritage Professional (HP) Management Program supports heritage professionals in strengthening their knowledge and capacities in conservation, management, education and policy. Through 8–10 hours of self-paced learning, participants gain practical tools and a global perspective to contribute to resilient and sustainable heritage systems.
Participation in the Program is fully supported, with the Program fee covered by the Republic of Azerbaijan.
